Even though Oz kits allow for more mobility, the lack of oxygen in most maps cause things to feel much more restrictive, placing greater importance on where you position yourself during combat. As mentioned before, it's a darker plot since the player characters are arguably evil characters this time around, rather than the chaotic good/chaotic neutral PC's of past games, which is a fun change that makes you reevaluate just how you fit into this world as someone who's specialty is murder.Īs for the negative stuff, my biggest issue with the game is the level design. True, there are fewer characters involved overall, but this streamlines things so that the plot in more concise. It feels more focused and more coherent with alot of interesting character development for Jack's character. The main story of TPS is in my opinion better than that of BL2. And the new batch of Vault Hunters are more varied, with more interesting skill tress (which aren't necessarily better than those of BL2, but can be alot of fun to play with). Cryo element replaces Slag, which you could make an argument for being a negative point, but I like it fine. Oz kits (or O2 kits) are a new gameplay element that allow for greater mobility around the world and even have an impact on combat in the from of slam attacks. Let's start with the positive stuff: Gameplay has been improved in a number of ways, most notable changes include an additional weapon class in the form of laser weapons which are very fun to use.
